All about Anglo Indian People

Anglo-Indian, in India, a citizen of mixed Indian and, through the paternal line, European ancestry. From roughly the 18th to the early 20th century, the term referred specifically to British peopl e working in India. The meaning of the term Anglo-Indian has to some degree been in a state of flux throughout its history. It was not until the Indian census of 1911 that the term was used as a category denoting persons of mixed ethnicity. In the Government of India Act of 1935, an Anglo-Indian was formally identified as “a person whose father or any of whose other male progenitors in the male line is or was of European descent but who is a native of India.” The key points of that definition were retained when Anglo-Indians were listed as an official minority group in India’s constitution in 1950. With the diaspora of the community since that time, however, it has become ever more difficult to identify Anglo-Indians, much less to estimate the size of their population. The Anglo-In...

A short creation  @@@ Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot. He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked. “Daughter, what do you see?” “Potatoes, eggs, and coffee,” she hastily replied. “L...

A rare story of  a loan-shark must read & put your suggestion in the comment box...... @Salim I n a small Italian town ,hundreds of years ago, a small business owner owed a large sum of money to a loan-shark.The loan-shark was a very old, unattractive looking guy that just so happened to fancy the businessowner's daughter.    He decided to offer the businessman to deal that would completely wipe out the debt  he owed him. However, the catch was that we would only wipe out  the debt if he could marry the bussinessman's daughter.      Needless to say, this proposal was met with a look of disgust. The loan-shark said that he would place two pebbles into a bag,one white & one black.      The daughter then would have to reach into the bag & pick out a pebble. If it was black, the debt would be wiped, but the loan-shark would then marry her.If it was white, the debt would also be wiped, but the daughter wouldn't have to marry ...

@SALIM Childhood and family Shakespeare grew up in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. His mother was the daughter of a local farmer and his father was a glove-maker. They were one of the richest families in town. Shakespeare went to school in Stratford, where he would have learnt to read and write in Latin and Greek as well as English. One of the ways in which the students were taught was through the performance of Latin plays. He would also have learnt about plays from the travelling companies who performed in Stratford. Shakespeare’s father was a  bailiff  and companies had to get a licence from him to perform in town. At 18 Shakespeare married a local girl, Anne Hathaway. They had three children – a daughter called Susanna and twins, Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died in 1596 – Shakespeare appears to have named his most famous character, Hamlet, after his son. Apart from his marriage and children, there is no record of what Shakespeare was doing at this tim...
